With God's help and favor, my life stands as a testimony of encouragement, hope, love, and victory in Christ.
Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, celebrating 43 years of marriage, I was one of four siblings. After losing my mother to hereditary kidney disease when I was five years old, I was raised by my grandmother and aunts. Though we were separated at an early age, we remained connected in love and faith. We were taught about Jesus from childhood and prayed to be used as vessels for Christ, always thankful for what God has brought our family through.
I have two sisters and a brother who also struggled with this debilitating disease. That brother is now deceased. As for me and my two sisters, we continue to live with it. But we find strength by trusting in God's power and continuing to be used as His vessels by denying ourselves to serve others.
My ministry began with prescription bottles filled with God's Word — reminding others that we are His workmanship and that He is the Potter. God was preparing me for such a time as this, to serve His will and help others know Him before the end comes.
My ministry is devoted to nurturing and celebrating the gift of encouragement and exhortation. Led by the Spirit, we seek to strengthen, uplift, motivate, reassure, and lovingly challenge one another. Through this shared calling, we grow closer to Christlike maturity while supporting one another along the way.
“To God be the glory for all He has done in my life.” Encouraging others is both my passion and my calling. Through my service in community church ministry and my own journey of encouragement, I have felt inspired by the Holy Spirit to uplift fellow believers. Friends have often shared how much this ministry encourages them, and they continue to pray that God's anointing flows through me as I serve.

During some of my most difficult seasons of heartache and pain, God sent angels of encouragement and mercy to surround me with the love and comfort I needed to face another sunset. I was especially encouraged by Mother Evangelists Florence Jones, Ruthie Nelson, Annie Thompson, and Pearl Lee.
Inspired to encourage other believers, and recognizing the need for prayer, partnership, and financial support, I used the successful “Pet Rock” concept as a model to generate support for my ministry: A Gift Ministry for Encouragement, Inc.
